[Goldenrod City.

Home of such major attractions as the Goldenrod department store, the Goldenrod Radio Tower, and the Johto Team Rocket Headquarters.

There are free beds there, of course, but Sans' favourite attraction is the kitchen.

Why?

Well.

It's free, for one. Just like the beds. And when you have that many Rockets, you're gonna need a lot of ketchup.

Sans has slowly, begrudgingly, learned that he needs to put something else besides ketchup in his body or he's going to regret it.... but that doesn't mean he can't treat food primarily as a ketchup delivery system.

Which means the burger he's putting in his mouth may or may not be the most vile construct seen since Wrath arrived.

It's at least 80% ketchup. Possibly more.

<sub>[New Rockets in general weren't anything strange.]

[And then there was this guy. Ralph watches from one of the long tables (a table which is tipped upward on one side thanks to his sitting on it) in a sort of quiet, horrified fascination.]</sub>

Are you sure about that, pal?

[Hm?

Sans pauses a second before he takes the bite.

He holds the pose a second, seeing Ralph, then sadly drops the burger back onto its plate.]

Yeah, you're right.

[...and with that, he reaches for the ketchup bottle. He pops it open to add another solid squirt to the top of his dripping ketchup monstrosity.

It lands on top of the soggy bun with a wet splurp.]

Wouldn't have been the same without it.

[Then he picks it up and takes his bite.]

<sub>[The wrecker's face slowly crumples up like a used paper bag. He doesn't say anything this time.]

[All he does is mouth the word "Why" silently.]</sub>

[Taking the bite caused a gush of ketchup from the overloaded ketchupocalypse on all sides, gooey jets of it squirting from under the bun and beneath the patty to land with a splat onto the table several inches away.

Wow.

Well.

That sure was a flavour.

It wasn't a particularly good flavour, though. And if Ralph hadn't been here, Sans would have taken that one bite, realised his mistake, and put his now-82% percent-ketchup dinner down to try and think of something else.

But instead...]

Mmmmmmm.

[It's not all that hard to make this burger sound the juiciest, most delicious meal on the planet. And it might actually BE the juiciest--if by 'juiciest,' you mean 'most filled with ketchup.'

Sans cracks open one brown eye to look Ralph square in the eye as he slowly chews his mouthful of... whatever you want to call this.

'Dinner.']

...what's wrong? Want some?

I--Yyyyyyeeeeaah, no. No thank you. That's awful thoughtful.

_{[After a second thought he pushes his own tray forward because suddenly he's just not feeling today's bran muffin and meatloaf.]}

You know what, you can have mine instead.

[Oh. Sweet.

Hmmm...

Sans studies the muffin and meatloaf intently for a couple of seconds, then makes his decision.

The ketchup is going on the meatloaf.

This time, his ketchup delivery experiment goes much better. Which is good, because he's not sure he could have bluffed his way through that kind of thing a second time.]

Oh! Hey, do you know where they keep the sprinkles around here?

[DOES THIS GUY KNOW WRATH? IS HE ANOTHER OF THOSE SINS? IS THIS GLUTTONY? THEY ALL HAVE MATCHING NAMES.]

No. No, I don't. I've never seen a sprinkle as long as I've been here.

Sans stops pouring more ketchup on his (Formerly Ralph's) meatloaf and turns his full attention to his fellow Rocket.]

Heh heh... you wouldn't be lying to me, would you?
