"Oh, but you're dangerous! See how you fight me off! It's impressive." He blows a raspberry against the hand at his face for all those few seconds its there, though he does as he's told, standing behind him, arms crossed behind his back and waiting patiently.
"Though, if I could be allergic, couldn't you too? What makes it so different with you sniffing around in there? Can't take you either." He see's a flaw in that, though he doesn't mind being dragged around to another different dimension. When he tells the chief he'll at least get a few good swears from him. "I would be. So long as I can talk in them. That first one wasn't exactly my favorite."
Bits of trash were tossed back over his shoulder. Paper fluttered, plastic trays and crumbled bags of Maybe Chips littered the street behind him. JW did't care too much about the environment when it wasn't his own.
Naturally.
He puffed a little sigh as Krem presents his very logical argument and pauses in his digging to give the soldier a strange sort of look over his shoulder. It's partly tired, partly pitying--as if Krem didn't understand something he should have. But he didn't let it linger and went right on ahead to teasing him as he searched for more golden threads.
"Nah, don't worry, you can scream and swear all you want in the other ones. Some of 'em are pretty weird, but they aren't nearly as...hm...abstract."
"What's that look for?" Like he would ignore it, toeing the trash building up into a small pile near the dumpster. It didn't bother him so much, just gave him something to do and waited for a response.
His hands slip into is pockets, letting his gaze wander before slipping back to JW's head, above him and tilted down to look at what he was rooting through, "That sounds pleasant enough. Got any that are especially fun? I mean, actually fun. Not...I dunno. Strange."
Sorry, Krem! JW is too busy digging through the garbage to explain the complicated self value system that rules his life!
"Well, there's one where everything is blue. It's just...I think maybe the way that world's suns shine through the atmosphere. There's one that's a little barren but everything is lighter. Imagine walking on the moon but you don't die in the cold vacuum of space. The air smells sort of coppery though so I can't stand it for too long."
He'll remember it for later. Maybe when he has a chance to try and kiss JW's face and ask questions at the same time. He hasn't tried that bit yet, but maybe it works.
"Lighter, huh? Can you jump higher? I might not even mind that, even if you can't stay long. Like walking on air...that could be really nice, especially now since I'm not in armor." Feeling lighter, especially in just his regular clothes. "You ever find anything interesting there?"
A bob of JW's antlers confirmed Krem's question--both of them actually. He continued his rooting around and occasionally stopped to pocket things.
"Yeah. There's mostly rocks, some dead-looking trees, things like that, but out there in the middle of it all, I found a rubber tire. Brand wasn't in a language I could read but there weren't any tracks or nothin'. Mysterious, huh?"
