"I'm right here," said absolutely nobody. Roman didn't like dropping form completely because it made him feel sort of weird and naked, but Adrian's face alone was worth it. He flickered back into view, not an inch from where he'd been, his ears and tail still hazy at the edges. "I do a mean ghost impression!"
"Seriously..." Just when he thought that Roman couldn't get more interesting, he pulls that. Well, at least he got lucky enough to end up on a speed date with someone who could entertain. "Okay, I'm convinced. You're pretty cool."
"Pretty high. Not, like, as high as an eagle or anything, but yaknow. Pretty close. Give me someplace to go and I'll see if I can clear it," he answered with a sneer, folding his arms over his chest.
Adrian snickered, and before the words had fully finished leaving Roman's mouth he was running, claws tamping along the rooftop- dodging dead birds as he went- before he leaped off the edge, his wings fanning to catch his weight before he could fall too far. Being an insect, they flap a lot harder and faster than the wings of a bird or something similar, but he manages to make it up to the height of the watertower without much problem.
He lands on the outer railing with a loud clang, perched on the edge of it as he peers over the edge. "Hows this?"
Roman gave chase and skidded to a stop at the building's edge, watching in an open-mouthed grin as Adrian flew. He flew! Just like a--well. A moth, he guessed. He dances on the spot wanting so badly to follow.
"THAT WAS AWESOME!" Roman cupped his hands around his mouth. "CAN YOU DO A FLIP?"
Adrian made a face at that, one that said 'Are you serious?' without words. He ended up saying something else entirely as he called back, the railing creaking a bit under his weight, "You know, you're starting to sound a whole lot like a bratty kid I used to know. He was always askin' me to try to break my neck, too."
"FLIP! FLIP! FLIP! FLIP!" Roman clenched his fists and pumped them as he chanted there on the edge of the roof. Of course he didn't expect Adrian to endanger himself but he sure was fun to pick at.
He backed away from the edge of the building, crouched down, and did a single, simple rolling somersault. When he landed he threw his arms and wings wide.
"Yeah yeah, you're an acrobatic master down there," the moth said as he adjusted his position so he was more sitting on the railing instead of standing to give his ankles a breather. "Now let's just hope nobody sees me up here and tries to shoot me down."
He wants to join Adrian on the water tower but that's...a flight he isn't ready to attempt yet. Instead he opts for just sitting on the building's edge and enjoying the moth man's weird company.
"Then come back over here! There's enough dead pigeons for the both of us!"
Adrian made his way back over easily enough, landing on the edge of the roof with a hard impact. Once there, he rolled his shoulders before turning and sitting down a few feet away from Roman, watching him out of the corner of his eye.
"Me? I dunno...find someplace to crash. Hopefully out of the city," he replied, folding his arms over one knee. "I'm not all that big on the town, but it's an okay place to visit."
Roman gave a little nod and turned to look at the tree line barely visible over the rooftops of the stretching suburb. Roman was a city boy but he did admire the great outdoors from a far. He could see the appeal.
"Hmm." He supposed Adrian's way of feeding himself was a little harder than his. For Roman, it was easy. There was always, always a sucker somewhere. He kicked his goaty feet. "Where's the coolest place you've been?"
"S'long as it's unbearably hot and there's sand far as the eye can see, then sure, it counts," he said, looking up at the sky for a moment. "But there are a lot of cliffs and rock structures in the one I'm talkin' about. Lots of caves and holes...it's a cool place to go to get away."

He'd been to distracted by all the dead birds to really appreciate the way Adrian had scaled the building.
"How high can you go?"

He spun on the spot, stretching up on his tip toes to see as far as he could before pointing at a nearby, rusty watertower. "That! Fly over that!"
