How to play:

Reply to one of my characters' headers (you don't have to respond to the flavortext) and put a 1 in your subject line! I'll reply with a 2 and so on. We'll count them down to 20. Then the date is over! Time to swap seats! Where is this date taking place? It doesn't really matter! This scenario is bendable to most game settings. AU's are also available, feel free to contact me or ask OOCly before we start counting down comments. Or it could just take place in the void or some Cosmic Denny's! The point of this meme is to test out chemistry or just watch hilarity unfold!

I have an idea, but I think I wanna get the one I've got touched up first.

_{[He turns to push up a sleeve and reveal the most generic I HEART MOM tattoo in existence. It's stretched and faded now.]}

Got it as a dumb kid.

[He leans forward, peering at the old tattoo with an appraising eye, and nods. It's generic, sure, but he's seen a lot worse.]

Oh yeah, man. everybody's got at least one of those.

[He pulls his dreads away from the side of his neck, revealing...something...that might be either a spider with a birth defect or a skull with an incredibly unfortunate hairdo.]

Buddy of mine did it with a needle and a ballpoint pen when we were like fifteen. Still can't bring myself to cover it though.

[He lets his hair cover it again with a laugh.]

But yeah, you can do that no problem. It's a pretty easy design to jazz up too if you wanna do that. Like...

[He fishes in his pockets for a moment finding a pen. A few scribbles on a napkin later, and he shows Maurice a design.]

Pretty basic, but you really can't go wrong with the classics, y'know?

_{[He's nearly forgotten about this guy's invasive comments now because INK IS THE SUBJECT and the centaur can't help but be excited. He loves artists and to have one talk to him so willingly is an honor.]

[He leans across the table, his horse chest bumping against it.]}

Oh, man, that looks great! I wish I could draw like that. Do you have a shop?

[Fortunately for Maurice, tattoos are one of the few things that Jake takes seriously. Practically his whole demeanor changes; though he remains cheerful, his lazy, laid-back posture becomes far more alert and animated. This is a man talking about something he loves.]

Mm-hm!

[He pulls a battered card advertising a place called "Second Skins" from his pocket and hands it over.]

Buncha good people there, man. An' Not just me! Stevie Mao does these kick ass yakuza-style pieces, an' well...we got somebody for pretty much whatever you wanna do, y'know?

_{[The horseman accepts it happily and turns it over a few times in his hands.]}

I don't know what that is, but it sounds cool.

_{[His ears swivel as he thinks of something.]}

I kinda have an idea...so like. Uh. The fur where my dude part meets my horse part is pretty thin. Y'think you could put something there that would show up? I think it'd look pretty cool if there were--like--stitches. Like I was some kinda Frankenstein!

It is! It's like...okay. In Japan they have the Yakuza, and it's basically the Mafia, right? Only they're way more open about it. A lotta those guys get tattoos that show which gang they're in. And they're like, huge. Pretty much covered from the neck down.

[He nods at Maurice's idea, rubbing his stubbled chin.]

Yeah, that could look pretty cool, 'specially if like, it's a little ripped open and there's something crazy underneath, y'know? Like some gears or like, fucked-up stitched together muscle or some shit.

Depends how thin that fur is though. Even if it's all wispy and shit you're gonna have some detail covered. You can shave it, but for some people that's a huge pain in the ass.

_{[He rubs his chin and leans a little to tug one side of his shirt up to show the strange conjunction. The fur is quite thin but coarse where the man's hips should have been.]}

I dunno about anything too crazy. I can do that on my arms, but for this I think just big messy stitches would look cool. Somethin' folks would have to pay attention to notice and then freak 'em out real good!
