[In spite of all the nerves about this...everything twisting his stomach into prickly knots, Envy can't help but give Henry an amused sort of smirk that's decidedly flirtatious.]
[The lightest shade of green was starting to appear across the bridge of what used to be his nose. On anybody else it would seem he was getting ill but no. This is just how trees blush.]
[This time instead of leaving in a blind panic, Henry has to actually restrain himself and not seem OVERLY excited. That would be weird. Eventually he returns with a camera that is both old and new. New to him but old by his world's standards. Luckily he doesn't have to set up any flash powder or shoot Envy from under a blanket.]
[Envy watches Henry go, less nervously this time than the last (although he does miss having Henry's tail around his leg, as small a thing as that is), and stays where he is.]
[The camera gets a curious look, if only because it's more modern than Envy's familiar with.]
[He'd been sort of expecting there to be flash powder.]
Alright, then. Do you want a pose?
[As it is, he's just leaning back on one hand as he looks up, the other arm laying loosely across one knee.]
[Envy holds still while the photos are taken, except for how his ears twitch at each snap of the shutter.]
[Every time he thinks there's a break in the photography, he turns his head so that he can glance back and look at Henry. At least once, he just tilts his head back and looks at him partially upside-down.]
Well, this world's more advanced than mine with a lot of things...the cameras I'm used to are these clunky boxes with some....accordion thing attached to one end, that extends out with the lens on it.
[As he explains, he tries to gesture with his hands.]
Wow...I wish I could have seen that. I've seen a few like that on display back home but never any in action. In my world they were even more advanced than this one.
[The very tip of the nymph's vine tail starts to twitch as his interest grows.]
They've become so small. Small as...
[He makes a small square with his long fingers.]
And the pictures they take are so clear and bright.
[That's all actually really interesting. And, like earlier with the plants, it's...kind of nice, listening to Henry be excited about something, even if it's not really something that Envy would usually think about much.]
We didn't have anything like the RSDOS machines either, I think the closest we had was typewriters.
[About the surgeon cameras though...]
...even though there wouldn't be any light in there?

So you want to take my picture, then?

I don't see why I wouldn't be.

Okay, hold that thought.

You don't have to stand up.

This is fine.
[Snap! There is a pause. He moves around the manticore on his long legs so that he's behind him. Snap! It's art.]

Too much...?

[He gives Henry a grin that he hopes is reassuring? He's not great at being reassuring.]
And your camera takes pictures a lot easier than what I'm used to.
no subject
Really? What are cameras like in your world?

Really? That small? How does everything fit in something like that?
I thought cameras needed all kinds of junk in them to work!
[He's not really versed on camera construction but he knows the basic idea.]
no subject
There are even cameras small enough to go inside of people to help surgeons see better.

[He snaps one more of Envy before lowering his camera.]
I can show you these in a couple of days.
[And figure out where the HELL to keep them.]
