That stupid head bob! She did it again! Maurice snorts so hard the roof of his mouth hurts.

"Shi-hit! Warn me before you do that! God!" He scrubs at an eye. Sure it looked normal on a bird monster, but Maurice still saw the blackbird beast as shrimpy little Heather. And imagined her doing that. He closed the first aid kit and stumped his way to the phone.

"Meat Lovers, like usual? And don't stick your head out of the hall when the guy shows up this time. I haven't seen that one pizza dude since. And they have what...five down there?"

His sass was going to earn him a healthy WHAP with her unburned hand as he got up to walk away.

SHE DID NOT APPRECIATE HER WEIRD NEW BODY LANGUAGE BEING MADE FUN OF, OKAY?!

"I wouldn'tve stuck my head out if you hadn't taken so long counting out the perfect tip. I was hungry."

"Ah!" Maurice let out an exaggerated squeak when she swatted him. He grabbed up the phone and made the call--two large pizzas and some bread sticks. He then disappeared into his room to grab his wallet.

"Well keep your head in the nest this time, baby bird."

"I'M NOT A BABY!"

This was hollered after him down the hall. But to her credit, she stayed put.

When he came back with a few bills in his hand, he was looking pretty darn satisfied with himself.

"I'm sorry. I know you're talking, but all I hear is peep peep peep."

Maurice, you're asking to be put in a headlock.

As a matter of fact, the second he stepped back into the room, he was gonna find a great big black hand closing around his whole head.

Maurice dropped the wallet.
