[MEME] OH NO A GHOST

OKAY LET'S GET DOWN TO BUSINESS.
I wanna play a ghost. Below are some prompts.
I'm not super picky about setting or 'verse.

A- Your character is a paranormal investigator, an obnoxious tv show host, or is otherwise exploring an area that is said to be haunted for whatever reason. Maybe it's a dare.

B- My character's ghost just SHOWS UP in your character's home. Did your character buy some haunted shit off ebay? Maybe my character died nearby or was summoned via Ouija board by some stupid teenagers at that party you hosted last month. Either way, you got yourself a haunted house now. Congrats.

C- Your character is also a ghost. Maybe they died together. Maybe my character is new to this whole being dead thing and yours shows them the ghostly ropes. Maybe it's the other way around. Either way, ghost adventures are had. _{Not currently looking for new PLSs with this plot!}

D- Your character is a necromancer-type-person and has summoned mine's spirit to do their bidding.

E- Your character is an exorcist and is here to shoo mine out of their current haunt or otherwise help them move on.

F- Our characters are friends. Mine died and has returned to hang out/help/finish some business with yours.

G- Your character moves into the house mine is currently haunting. EXCUSE U.

H- POSSESSION. It happened somehow.

[Okay, she actually looks outright offended by that.]

Look, I have every right to be here. [She better, given what she's paying the school.] Besides, I don't think you really have room to be laying claim to the entire dorm if you're just going to float around being invisible all the time, anyway!

_{[He lifts a brow.]}

That's a sorry argument if I ever heard one.

_{[He gets off his imaginary beanbag and lowers himself down so that he looks like he's standing level on the floor. The ghost folds his arms.]}

I take care of it, it's my house. Now, you've found me. What do you want? I'm trying to keep my ears open for drunk jackasses tonight.

Well, it's not like I've got a lot of options for where else to live. I was assigned to this dorm. [So there.]

What do I... [She pauses, frowning intently. Honestly, she hadn't thought that far ahead - she hadn't really expected to find any evidence of a ghost, let alone actually meet one.

Now, though, she's getting curious.] ...What's your name?

_{[He could argue that, he'd been known to pull some strings when it came to housing issues, but that was a discussion for another time.]}

Most of the kids like to call me The Saint or Saint Arrow--did you know that's how Santa Clause got his name? But, uh, Maurice works...it's not as cool though.

_{[He suddenly disappeared an reappeared much closer, leaning down with obvious curiosity.]}

Maurice. Alright.

[She jumps a little when he reappears in front of her, her shoulders pulling up slightly, but just takes a step back and does her best to disguise her reaction.]

I'm Artemis. Artemis Clarke.

_{[For a moment, the spirit's face falls when Artemis goes with his less cool name, but his Cheshire smile is quick to return.]}

_{[He holds out a chilly hand. Should she take it, she'll feel an icy sort of pressure, but if she squeezes too hard, her hand will go right though.]}

[She hesitates, just for a moment, before squaring her shoulders and reaching out to shake his hand. She looks... vaguely concerned, for lack of a better word, at the temperature, but it's not like she had really been expecting much different.]

_{[The brave ghost hunter does not find herself dragged up and down the walls or possessed. The dead man simply pumps her arm up and down a few times before breaking contact. What's left behind on her palm is the slightest damp sensation--real honest to goodness ectoplasm. It soon dissipates like fog on a cold window.]}

[....Oh. That's, uh. A little gross. She doesn't respond beyond a slight grimace.]

...How long have you been a ghost, if you don't mind me asking?

[toothaches]

OH, a while.

_{[He leans away from her and goes back to resting in his pretend beanbag, arms folded behind his head.]}

I've seen way more football games than you probably ever will.

That doesn't really answer my question. Could you give an estimate in years?

[Sorry, Maurice, she's a little picky.]

_{[But teasing her is fun! She's an investigator of some kind, isn't she? She should get to ask a lot of questions.]}

Maybe...longer than a dog can live...but not as long as a tortoise.

That is... something of a broad range. Alright.

[She hums thoughtfully, glancing toward the ceiling.]

Do you remember what year it was?

[toothaches]

_{[The ghost glances aside and makes a non-commital sound, offering up a shrug.]}

That's not reeeeally important, is it?

[Artemis gives him a Look.]

So, are you saying you don't know, or you just don't want to tell me?

[toothaches]

C'mon, man! I'm a ghost not a magic eight ball!

I wouldn't think that what year you were last alive in would be that difficult a question.

[SIGH. She taps her fingers thoughtfully against her hip.]

...Do you remember how you died to begin with?

[toothaches]

_{[Maurice stopped rolling his eyes long enough to look offended.]}

Of course I do!

_{[He lifts his bangs up to show a horrible gash running right across his forehead. A huge toothy grin spreads across his face.]}

Muuuuuuurderrrrrr.

[--Oh damn okay that sure is. A thing. Her eyes widen a little but she hurriedly forces the shock off her face.

She can't quite manage not to look a little grossed-out, though.]

...Ah. Well, I'm... sorry about that, then.

[toothaches]

_{[Satisfied that he's given her a good spook, Maurice folds his arms and looks pretty darn proud of himself.]}

[Even as alarmed as she is, Artemis manages to huff a bit at that. Don't look so smug or she might take it back, dammit.

...Then it occurs to her that the knowledge that someone was apparently murdered on this campus should maybe be something to worry about.]

Well... if you don't know how long ago this happened, do you at least have some idea of who did it, then?

_{[He glances away, attention suddenly on some noises coming from outside.]}

Well, seeing as I died from head trauma, no. Not that it matters. I'm dead. You can't unmurder someone.

It does matter.

[The answer is immediate, and perhaps a little clipped. This is Serious Business.]

Depending on their motives and if they're still in the area, whoever it was could still be a threat to current students. They need to be found.

_{[Oh wow. She's getting serious. Now he feels bad. Maurice rocks forward again, leaning down with his hands on his wispy knees so that he can better see her.]}

Look at how I'm dressed. They're long gone. You've got nothing to worry about. You've got a POWERFUL SPIRIT looking after the campus now!

[She... does not look convinced.]

You can't know that for sure. And, unless I am very mistaken, I would assume you can't exactly watch everywhere at once, even if you can theoretically do something about an attacker.
