Tobias' grin gets a little awkwardly strained when his question is greeted with that stare, but...maybe this guy's just shy? That would explain a lot of the weird little quirks he's noticing...
"Heh, okay, local station it is. Let's see..."
He flips through the channels until he finds what looks like it's probably a local station? Maybe? He doesn't TV enough to know for sure, but he leaves it there, hoping it's the right one. It's playing music, but there's been a little weather alert stripe on the bottom of every channel, warning that the storm is getting worse and to stay indoors.
"Oh, uh. Shit. Maybe you should stay until it dies down more..." hopefully that didn't sound too much like HOW BOUT YOU STAY THE NIGHT WITH ME PIZZA GUY, HURR HURR oh god. He adds, quickly, "But hey, this music is catchy!"
Olee happily turns his attention to the TV but with all the beeping and red ALERT bars, his spirits slowly, slowly dampen. Oh, man. He hasn't seen a storm like this in ages. By the time Tobias makes his offer, Olee's mouth has worked itself into a concerned little slant.
"I think I should. I don't really want to get struck by lightning again. Zero out of ten, would not recommend."
"I guess it is." Olee's mouth then slants in the other direction as he looks thoughtfully at the pizza box. "One time. I was outside during a storm and got struck by lightning."
THERE'S YOUR STORY, TOBIAS.
And for a little while, it was looking like that was all Olee was going to say. But then he turned his attention back to Tobias and broke into an enormous, Totoro grin.
Olee was quick to wriggle out of his jacket and then off came the tank top. The man, while short, was not unlike a bulldog in that he was fucking built. He twisted around and pointed down his back. From one shoulder, a sprawling web-like scar of raised flesh stood out in sharp relief against his dark skin.
Oh well okay then, Tobias wasn't expecting Olee to take off his whole shirt. He'd thought maybe lifting up the side or something.
Aside from the scar looking cool, of course, Olee is certainly not bad looking. Tobias clears his throat, and then remembers the original point of the shirt removing and nods appreciatively.
"Whoa. You were right, that's cool as hell. If you're going to have a big scar, lightning is probably the way to go."
"Haha, yup. I do wish the ringing in my ear would go away though." Olee started wriggling back into his shirt. "It happened a couple of years ago. I used to be scared of thunder storms but then I realized, what are the chances of that happening again? I don't need to be scared. That's silly."
"Why would I do that?" Olee asked once his head reappeared. That was one hypothetical situation he hadn't heard of before. He pushed his hair back into place and invited himself to take another slice of pizza.
"Quick Olee." He held his non pizza hand out for Tobias to take.
Olee does in fact notice that. It's chilly outside with all the rain and wind and motel heating systems were not exactly famous. But instead of simply asking if the guy was okay like a normal human being, the pizza guy opts for just...staring at it the way one might an error they'd never seen before popped up on their computer screen.
Tobias looks down at his hand, which is still being held. He looks back up at Olee.
UH...SHOULD HE...?
There's really not much he can do about being Too Warm, but usually people just ask if he's sick, not stare at his hand like it's an alien. Has he slipped up and wound up on the Too Too Warm side of things? He tries to carefully pull his hand out of the shake.
Olee lets him go and actually stares at his own hand before pressing it to his own face to feel the difference. Boy howdy there still was one. He then gives Tobias a look and tilts his head.
Was he a demon? Was there about to be a throwdown here in this super nice motel room? Olee sure hoped not. He was so nice!

Nice save.

Except then what he actually said hits him.
"Wait, again? That sounds like a story."

Tobias isn't sure what to do until Olee speaks up again. His eyebrows go up in surprise, but then he grins right back.
"Yeah, sure, go ahead. Is it a cool one?"

"I was deaf as a rock for two whole days."

There's a small part of Tobias that is really kind of disappointed that he's putting his shirt back on already.
He tells that part to shut up, he doesn't even know this pizza guy's name...
Although that part can be fixed. And probably should have been already, whoops. His grin gets more sheepish.
"And hey, sorry I haven't introduced myself yet. I probably should, right? I'm Tobias, what about you?"

"Quick Olee." He held his non pizza hand out for Tobias to take.

He reaches out and shakes Olee's hand, and Olee might notice that his hand is really unusually warm, almost like he's got a fever.
"Nice to meet you, even if the circumstances aren't the best, ha."
